St. Mary's Episcopal Church has added a new featured artist gallery in the historic Parish Hall and I am excited to be invited to display in their first year! The art will be displayed starting on September 1 through November 30, 2022.
The St. Mary's art committee has invited me to present an artist's talk / pie demonstration on Sunday, October 16, following the service at approximately 11 am in the Parish Hall. I will be demonstrating how to make pie crust and a blueberry pie and discussing my journey with Pie and Art, test-baking, writing and illustrating a cookbook. The lucky audience will also get to taste that pie!
On Friday, September 2nd from 5-7pm there will be an artist open house - in conjunction with First Fridays. Join me for a fun evening of pie samples, wine, pie art and friends. You will also be able to purchase cookbooks, prints, original art and pie stationary at the event.

Urban Prairie Coffee shop has graciously offered my pie art another showing, since it did not get much traffic during my last show there. I plan to have new paintings to exhibit from my artist in residence this summer and there will be another open house event with pie samples from the pie baker lady!

Join the Pie Baker Lady for a guided tour in the beautiful George Schlegel Gallery located inside the Roeland Park City Hall. Due to concerns about Covid-19, the City is limiting to groups of 10 at a time inside the gallery. Face masks are also required. Peruse the art created for her Pie as Art cookbook along with some art from Laura's private collection. Most of the displayed art is available for purchase, except for Laura's private collection.

Please join Laura for a Pie Social and pie contest outside the museum, under the stars. There will be a dizzying array of pies to choose from along with homemade ice cream. Laura has been invited to be a pie contest judge for her 4th consecutive year. A nominal fee is required to enjoy pie, unless you bring a whole pie, then your slice of pie is FREE!
